Characterization of pediatric CNS tumors using nanopore sequencing

CBTN tissue is crucial for this project, as all pediatric brain tumor specimens are quite rare. While the Lineberger CCC at UNC-Chapel Hill has a tissue repository, it has only recently been amended to include pediatric CNS tumors. Therefore, we simply do not have enough samples internally to investigate this novel diagnostic platform. In addition to providing tissue, the CBTN provides a robust and unique resource of FFPE samples where RNA sequencing has already been completed. This RNA-seq data will be used to validate our new RNA analysis platform.
