Identification of pediatric DIPG targets and Drug Discovery

Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) is the most common type of brain stem tumor in children, comprising 80% of cases.
Aggressive treatment approaches, DIPG remains the leading cause of cancer-related death in children, with a prognosis of less than 2 years after diagnosis.
Meta-analysis of gene expression profile of DIPG can help identify druggable target for drug discovery.

a) Every year in the word, 600 children died with DIPG. Then, this project aims at reducing such unacceptable number of children lost or even improve the Quality of Life of both Children and their Families.
b) The meta-analysis already done considered a very low number of cases (8 DIPG and 2 controls). By accessing to your data, we will be able to strengthen the outcomes of the bioinformatic analysis.
