The goal of this project is to validate prior work in fly models that have shown key metabolic players in the development and growth of pediatric low-grade glioma with BRAF mutations. In this project we want to expand this knowledge to translational models available through CBTN such as patient derived cell lines and organoids. This has tremendous impact and significance, as fly models can be used as a quick and high-throughput screening for potential targets in PBTs and then those targets can be validated in patietn-derived models. This project has the potential to change how we approach research in the field of pediatric brain tumors.
