The CBTN was has been provided with a unique opportunity to sequence a large portion, (over 1600 aliquots), of biospecimens by outsource entities. The center constantly evaluates opportunities to expand on the sequencing additional cohorts of samples. Dr. Adam Resnick, together with Dr. Jessica Foster have the opportunity to work with The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) to provide additional data generation efforts on diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG).
We are proposing to perform whole genome sequencing (WGS) and/or RNA sequencing (RNA seq) on currently existing and incoming DIPG specimens in the CBTN biorepository. The goal of this project is to provide further depth of information on selected, previously not sequenced and received in future specimens obtained from DIPG patients consented at CHOP. The resulting data will be returned to the Operations Center to be deposited into Cavatica and made available through Kids First for further research and exploration.
