Advancing DMG Drug Discovery with an Organoid-Based Toolkit

The specimens from the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN) are of paramount importance for validating our micro-organoid and multi-organ-on-a-chip modeling systems. The comprehensive clinical and genomic data accompanying these specimens will be pivotal in our assessment of the fidelity with which our organoid model replicates DMG tumors and to help better interpret the correlations between our drug screening results and patient genetic alterations, ensuring the clinical relevance of our research. Furthermore, the diversity of the CBTN collection also help us to assess the robustness of our toolkit. Presently, our resources are limited to several patient-derived DIPG neurosphere lines, generously provided by Dr. Rintaro Hashizume. Expanding our sample base through CBTN will significantly enhance the scope and impact of our research endeavors.
