Immunosuppressive IDO1 and TDO Expression in Pediatric Central Nervous System Tumors
Rishi Lulla
Summary
Indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) and tryptophan dioxygenase (TDO) are highly immunosuppressive tryptophan catabolic enzymes that contribute to the recruitment of regulatory T-cells (Tregs; >CD4+CD25+FoxP3+) and/or suppress the immune response against central nervous tumors (CNS) tumors. This research aims to describe whether IDO1 and TDO were present in pediatric CNS tumors, as well as their overall relative expression levels for data generated from cells lines (n=5) and patient tumor specimens from the CBTTC (n=33).
