When I was deciding where I wanted to pursue a fellowship in Heme/Onc, early on I came to the realization that Comer was the place for me. There is a great balance between both research and clinical practice. We have the advantage of being a growing section within an amazing research institution with amazing opportunities for collaboration. After completing residency at Comer, I knew hat the section would offer me great mentorship to help me establish my career.
I was born and raised in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago and have always been a Chicagoan at heart. Even when I left for undergrad, I always knew I could come back here. I now live with my husband in the University Village/Little Italy area. It is a great area with tons of restaurants. It provides my husband and I with a very reasonable commutes. Nothing beats a long walk through a Chicago neighborhood festival on a warm summer day.
My hobbies: trying new restaurants, traveling, biking, spending time with family
