Jarod Roland

Dr. Roland is a neurosurgeon who cares for children of all ages. He addresses a wide variety of neurological conditions, including brain and spinal cord tumors. He uses a number of surgical approaches, from traditional open procedures to less invasive options. To ensure the best treatment plan for an individual, he collaborates with patients, their families and a team that includes specialists from many disciplines.

Roland's research seeks a better understanding of how brain networks adapt and react to changes caused by tumors, epilepsy or other conditions. In particular, he studies how children's brains reorganize after neurosurgery. His tools include functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electrical recordings of brain activity.
