Mi-Youn Brusniak, PhD PMP is a bioinformatics data scientist and is the Optides/Protein Therapeutics Program Bioinformatics Director at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA. She obtained her PhD degree in Computer Aided Drug Design from the University of Texas at Austin and has worked in a wide variety of areas, including diagnostics and therapeutics R&D. Current research areas include design of operating procedures and software/algorithms for computational knotted peptide library generation, analysis pipeline of LC-MS and omics data and selection of sub-libraries of potential drug candidates for target pharmacological properties. Many projects are collaborative efforts among basic science, clinical research divisions in FHCRC, and biotech companies.
