Valerie Baubet

Valerie Baubet is a Research Scientist responsible for generating, maintaining and characterizing cell lines from samples of brain tumor tissue. Her research focuses on optimizing cell culture protocols to grow brain tumor stem cells and to develop assays to characterize the established cell lines.

Prior to joining CHOP in May 2017, Valerie worked for 10 years in the laboratory of Dr. Dahmane, focusing on brain tumors and brain development.

Valerie completed a PhD in Neuroscience from the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in Villeurbanne, France. Her mission is to develop resources for the scientific community to find a cure for brain tumors.
